Heavy-Duty Workshop Press for Straightening & Assembly

The PSS hydraulic workshop press is designed for sheet metal straightening, bearing and bolt assembly or removal, and general material deformation. Its fully welded and milled steel frame provides high rigidity for intensive workshop and industrial use.

Robust & Practical Design

The large front opening allows easy positioning of long and wide workpieces, while the hollow work surface enables operations at different working heights.

Two-Speed Hydraulic System

The PSS features a two-speed hydraulic system with cylinder movement of under 29 mm/sec. Operation uses the lever and piston simultaneously, in accordance with CE safety requirements.

The work platform is raised through a chain connected to the hydraulic cylinder and securely locked using steel tubes to prevent unwanted movement.

Transversely Movable Cylinder

The PSS is also available with a manually movable transverse cylinder, allowing the cylinder to be positioned directly over the workpiece without moving the material.

Maximum pressure valve

Maximum pressure valve

As a safety measure to guarantee the operator's safety and to safeguard the machine, a maximum pressure valve is installed inside the hydraulic control unit on all hydraulic presses produced by SICMI.

Anchoring electrical cables

The tubes for the passage of the electrical cables are anchored to the press frame by means of special collars.

Unlike many competitors who use simple plastic ties that are destined to dry out and break quickly, these collars are made of highly resistant material and are screwed to the structure of the press.

As a safety measure, the hydraulic hoses of all the presses produced by SICMI are firmly fixed to the machine frame using special collars which prevent any movement of the hydraulic hose.

These collars have the base welded to the frame, while the upper part is screwed.

Stopflex anchor

All SICMI hydraulic presses are equipped with the Stopflex hose retention system, designed to secure pressurized hydraulic hoses and prevent uncontrolled movement in the event of fitting failure.

The system helps reduce the risk of the whip effect, protects personnel and equipment, and limits hydraulic oil release into the working area.

24V Low-Voltage Control System

The press operates with a 400V three-phase power supply. For operator safety, a transformer inside the electrical panel reduces the control voltage to 24V, minimizing the risk of electric shock.

Anti-fall and anti-burst valves

All SICMI hydraulic presses are equipped with anti-fall and anti-burst safety valves to protect the operator and machine.

  • Anti-Fall Valve – Keeps the hydraulic cylinder securely in position if a hydraulic hose fails, preventing the upper platform from falling.
  • Anti-Burst Valve – Releases excess hydraulic pressure if it exceeds the permitted limit, helping protect the cylinder from damage.

Metal blocks

These metal blocks are positioned at the bottom end of the press and are completely welded to the machine structure.

Their function is to protect the operator's feet from any accidental fall of the work table.

Lever protection

The operating lever is protected by a metal guard to prevent accidental activation and ensure controlled lifting operation.

Its safety design ensures that pushing the lever forward raises the cylinder, while pulling it toward the operator lowers it. This minimizes the risk of accidental cylinder descent.
