Product Introduction

Two-Post Hydraulic Press

High-Speed Press for Sheet Metal Forming

The MST electro-hydraulic press is designed for fast molding and cold deformation of sheet metal, with a cylinder approach speed of up to 125 mm/sec.

Robust & Guided Design

The mobile upper platen slides along 4 guides, while the fixed lower platen is bolted to the monolithic press frame. Both platens feature T-slots for quick mold fixing.

Approach Speed: Up to 125 mm/sec
Cylinder Stroke: 500 mm
Table Gap: 600 mm
4 guided upper-platen system
T-slotted upper and lower platens
Monolithic frame construction

Advanced Hydraulic System

The MST is equipped with a Rexroth hydraulic power unit with monitored solenoid valves for reliable and controlled operation.

Standard equipment includes:

Siemens CPU for position setting
Cylinder adjustment with limit switches
Dual-button automatic operation
Air/oil heat exchanger
Pressure switch
Rear protective metal mesh

Accessories

Maximum pressure valve

Maximum pressure valve

As a safety measure to guarantee the operator's safety and to safeguard the machine, a maximum pressure valve is installed inside the hydraulic control unit on all hydraulic presses produced by SICMI.

Anchoring electrical cables

The tubes for the passage of the electrical cables are anchored to the press frame by means of special collars.

Unlike many competitors who use simple plastic ties that are destined to dry out and break quickly, these collars are made of highly resistant material and are screwed to the structure of the press.

Anchoring electrical cables
Anchoring hydraulic pipes

Anchoring hydraulic pipes

As a safety measure, the hydraulic hoses of all the presses produced by SICMI are firmly fixed to the machine frame using special collars which prevent any movement of the hydraulic hose.

These collars have the base welded to the frame, while the upper part is screwed.

Stopflex anchor

All SICMI hydraulic presses are equipped with the Stopflex hose retention system, designed to secure pressurized hydraulic hoses and prevent uncontrolled movement in the event of fitting failure.

The system helps reduce the risk of the whip effect, protects personnel and equipment, and limits hydraulic oil release into the working area.

Stopflex anchor
Anti-fall and anti-explosion valves

Anti-fall and anti-explosion valves

All SICMI hydraulic presses are equipped with anti-fall and anti-burst safety valves to protect the operator and machine.

  • Anti-Fall Valve – Keeps the hydraulic cylinder securely in position if a hydraulic hose fails, preventing the upper platform from falling.
  • Anti-Burst Valve – Releases excess hydraulic pressure if it exceeds the permitted limit, helping protect the cylinder from damage.

Current transformer

24V Low-Voltage Control System

The press operates with a 400V three-phase power supply. For operator safety, a transformer inside the electrical panel reduces the control voltage to 24V, minimizing the risk of electric shock.

  • 400V Three-Phase Power Supply
  • 24V Low-Voltage Control
  • Built-In Safety Transformer
  • Reduced Electrical Shock Risk

CE certificate of conformity

CE certificate of conformity, annex IV

The CE certificate of conformity, Annex IV, certifies that the hydraulic presses satisfy all the safety parameters required by current European regulations.

This certificate is issued by a specific external body which verifies that a specific model of hydraulic press complies with the safety requirements established by the regulations.

This certificate is mandatory for models of electro-hydraulic molding presses whose approach speed of the hydraulic cylinder exceeds 30 mm/sec.

Milled platform with T-slots

The milled platform with T-slots allows quick fixing of the molds.

The dimensions, as well as the depth and geometry of the grooves, are completely customizable upon customer request.

Fixed protection nets

Fixed protection nets

Fixed protective nets are essential components in hydraulic presses, ensuring the safety of operators.

These sturdy nets are made of aluminum and surround the working area of the hydraulic press.

Their main function is to prevent unauthorized or inadvertent access to the pressing area, minimizing the risk of serious injury.

Four slide guides

Four self-lubricating guide rods ensure smooth, precise movement of the upper work surface for accurate molding operations.

Standard on high-speed hydraulic presses and PST/PCL models from 300 tons, with optional availability on 40–200 ton versions.

Four slide guides
Air oil heat exchanger

Air/oil heat exchanger

The air/oil heat exchanger cools the hydraulic circuit and maintains a stable oil temperature, preventing overheating and protecting the hydraulic system and seals.

Recommended for continuous operation and long production cycles. On large-tonnage presses, a recirculation system with a separate motor provides enhanced cooling performance.

Pressure switch

The pressure switch monitors hydraulic pressure and regulates the maximum working pressure according to the preset value.

On automatic presses, it enables automatic cylinder retraction when the set pressure is reached. With a Siemens digital panel, pressure settings can be adjusted directly via the touchscreen.

Pressure switch
Cylinder limit switches

Cylinder limit switches

The press allows precise stroke adjustment through microswitches that control the cylinder's maximum descent and ascent positions.

  • Semi-Automatic: Microswitches stop piston movement at the set position.
  • Automatic: The piston automatically returns to Top Dead Center (TDC).
  • Digital Touchscreen: An encoder replaces the microswitches and continuously measures piston position with 0.1 mm accuracy.
